TripLinq is a backpacking trip planner for that reality. It treats a trip as a flexible spine — countries you'll hit, rough date ranges, the leg you actually do need to lock down because the visa requires it. Inside each leg, days fill themselves in as you book overnight buses, hostel beds, and the occasional splurge. Multi-currency expense tracking, offline vouchers, and AI parsing for hostel and ferry confirmations mean the spreadsheet you started with quietly retires by week two.

A spine that bends without breaking

Long trips need flexible itineraries — locked enough that you don't miss the visa window for Vietnam, loose enough that you can stay an extra week in Da Nang because you met someone. TripLinq supports a spine-and-leaves structure: lock the country and rough dates, leave the days flexible. Drag legs around, add stops, push hostel bookings later when you decide to slow down. The expense view, voucher wallet, and saved places carry forward automatically.

Spend in dong, baht, riel, and ringgit without losing track

Six months across Southeast Asia is six currencies, four hostels a week, and dozens of $3 noodle bowls. TripLinq logs every expense in the currency you paid in, converts it at a snapshot rate, and reports your running spend in your home currency. Hostel splits with the travel buddy you picked up in Pai? Same engine — log it, split it, settle at the end of the leg. Multi-currency math doesn't follow you home.

Offline in remote places

Overnight buses, mountain villages, no signal

Backpacking happens in the gaps where wifi disappears: the night bus, the homestay, the trek between border crossings. TripLinq caches your full itinerary, vouchers, saved places, and notes on-device the moment you sync. When you save a hostel address, it opens in Google Maps with whichever offline region you've already downloaded. Edits made offline merge back the next time you hit wifi.

Hostelworld confirmations, Booking.com receipts, FlixBus QR codes, ferry tickets, that one tour you booked through the hostel manager — TripLinq's AI parses every email into your trip. Bus depots, ferry terminals, hostel addresses all get pinned to the right day. The voucher wallet keeps QR codes accessible offline, so the bus driver can scan you in even when the bus station's wifi can't.
